The "Almighty" Meta
In Anime Defenders, one trait rules them all: Almighty. This trait is game-breaking because it allows you to place one additional unit of that type (e.g., normally capped at 3 placements -> now 4). This effectively increases your team's total DPS ceiling by 33% or more. In trading, a unit with Almighty is often worth 5-10x more than the same unit with a bad trait. If you are rerolling, stop immediately if you hit Almighty.
Trait Rerolling Strategy
Rerolling requires Trait Crystals, which are a valuable currency. Do not waste crystals on Legendary or Epic units. Save them exclusively for Mythic and Secret units. The chance of hitting a Celestial-tier trait (Almighty, Requiem, Sonic) is extremely low (<0.5%). Smart traders buy "clean" Mythics (no traits) for cheap, gamble on rerolls, and sell the high-roll results for massive profit.
Gem Economy and Tax
Gems are the lifeblood of the market. When trading Gems for units, remember the Tax. If you sell a unit for 1,000 Gems, you might only receive 900 depending on the current tax rate. Always factor this into your listing price. If you are buying, try to negotiate a price that accounts for the seller's tax loss to close the deal faster.
Secret Units: The Ultimate Gamble
Secret units (like the Demon King) are not just rare; they are status symbols. Their value is extremely volatile based on whether they are currently obtainable in the banner rotation. Buy Secret units when their banner is active (supply is increasing, price drops) and sell them when their banner leaves (supply is cut off, price rises). This simple supply-and-demand cycle is the easiest way to profit from Secrets.
Shiny Hunting
Shiny units deal bonus damage. For Leaderboard players in Infinite Mode, this bonus is non-negotiable. This means Shiny Mythics will always have a buyer, regardless of the meta, because min-maxers need every ounce of damage. If you pull a Shiny, check its demand before selling—it might be worth far more than you think to a competitive player.
